Day 1 City walk through the fortified town of Heusden
Heusden's fortress past can be felt in almost every street and every stone. With its picturesque streets, centuries-old buildings, and many studios and galleries, the medieval fortified town of Heusden is a great destination for lovers of art, culture, history, and good food and drink. From the ramparts, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Heusden also has a very attractive, hospitable, and Burgundian character, and you can feel and see that everywhere! Your tour starts with a guided walk with 3 culinary highlights of typical Heusden delicatessens.

The Zuiderwaterlinie is the oldest, longest, and most used of all Dutch waterlines. All the way from Bergen op Zoom to Grave. A unique chain of 11 Brabant fortified towns and their environs, connected by the typical Dutch story of defending with water. Where the soldiers used to stand on the border, you can now find Brabant cosiness against rich history's backdrop. Enjoy the cosy historic fortified cities, visit the sturdy fortresses or relax in the special nature.

Day 2 Castle Heeswijk
Together with the Sint Jans Cathedral in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Grote Kerk in Breda and the Markiezenhof in Bergen op Zoom, Heeswijk Castle forms the four official top monuments of Brabant. Experience the eventful history of almost a thousand years of power, pride, and culture of the Brabant elite, prominently located in the Aa's brook valley, close to 's-Hertogenbosch. The castle is also a Brabantse Natuurpoort and is surrounded by Landgoed Heeswijk, where you can relax in the beautiful nature. You will enjoy an audio tour or guided tour to find your way to Castle Heeswijk.

Brabantse Natuurpoort
As a Nature Gate, you can take beautiful walks from the castle through the woods and over the estate's lanes and fields, intersected by the winding Aa. Sail with a whisper boat to the unique water and windmill the Kilsdonkse Molen. Simultaneously, in the village of Heeswijk-Dinther, you can visit the Museum Farm or taste an abbey beer at the centuries-old Berne Abbey: the longest existing monastic community in the Netherlands.

Day 3 's-Hertogenbosch

Start your acquaintance with 's-Hertogenbosch, or Den Bosch, with aHistorical boat trip on the Binnendieze. Sail past, under and through the most beautiful parts of the historic city centre.
This followed by a guided tour through Het Noordbrabants Museum, where you can admire Van Gogh's works in the exhibition The Story of Brabant.

At the end of the day, you can discover all other parts of 's-Hertogenbosch. Shop till you drop, sniff culture or enjoy the characteristic streets ... There is plenty to discover in '-Hertogenbosch. Let us know what your interests are, and we will be happy to tailor a program. And don't forget to enjoy the typical local delicacy, the Bossche Bol.
