Our company, ITO TOURS B.V., is looking for a junior or senior account manager to support the German team (DACH-countries).

We are a travel agency for foreign tour operators (B2B). This means that we act as an intermediary for foreign tour operators who want to reserve services for their groups visiting the Netherlands. This includes accommodation, transportation, reserving dinners and lunches, arrange entrance at various attractions, and any other needs the group may have.

Therefore, it is necessary for an employee to be able to speak to our partners in the Netherlands in Dutch or English, but also to assist our foreign clients in their own language. We are looking for an employee who enjoys communicating with customers, solving problems, negotiating prices for all possible services and hotel rooms, and always prioritizing the customer's needs. In addition to these tasks, you can think of expanding the function in the form of customer acquisition, customer retention, customer visits, and tasks that are more in the commercial and marketing field.

In addition to our foreign activities, we also work on domestic projects with parties that focus on various events and special projects. We would certainly like to invite an employee with experience in this industry or the desire to expand their network to respond to this vacancy.

Our base is in Leidschendam. From our office on Nieuwstraat, we are in contact with our clients from the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Benelux, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, India, Middle East, and Asia.

The main administrative tasks of the employee are:

Maintaining and managing the existing customer base (relationship management)

  • Handling requests from foreign clients for hotel stays and services from third parties in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. These requests come to us by email, and customer contact is via email and phone.
  • During the quotation process, you will think along with the customer, provide the right advice, and ensure proper administrative handling.
  • During the quotation process, you will have telephone contact with foreign clients, hotels, restaurants, bus companies, etc. for the desired program
  • If the offer is confirmed or canceled by the customer, you will handle the administrative processing of the file.

Acquiring new customers and assignments

  • We expect the employee to eventually be able to research the market independently and make proposals for commercial policy to work this market.
  • You ensure that you draw up the market approach process yourself, submit it to management, adjust it if necessary, and then carry it out and coordinate it.
  • This includes acquiring customers and/or assignments, as well as sales conversations.
  • We expect you to build and maintain your own network at a certain moment.

Projects and events

  • Maintain contact with the executor of the organization or event
  • Compose quotes and negotiate the price strategy of the accommodation or carrier
  • Make a project plan and monitor the execution
  • Maintain contact with the client during the execution of the project
  • Expand your network by visiting networking events, workshops, etc.

We are looking for an employee who fits well into our team. Personality and appearance must match the current team, as we also want to convey who we are and what our people stand for to the outside world. We expect an employee to have at least a good command of the German and English languages in both speech and writing.

Education and/or experience in tourism are desirable but not necessary. Problem-solving ability, warmth, not being afraid of the phone, and being able to handle stress are the keywords we are looking for in an employee.
